Dan Springer Chief Executive Officer
When Dan Springer joined Responsys as President and CEO in 2004, Responsys was a leading provider of on-demand email marketing software. He saw an opportunity to grow and transform the company’s offerings to serve all the emerging interactive channels – email, mobile, social and the web. Under his direction, Responsys has become the leading global provider of cross-channel marketing solutions. Named one of the Best CEOs by the San Francisco Business Times, Dan has 20-plus years of successful executive leadership, strategic sales and marketing experience in interactive marketing, e-commerce and finance. Companies he has served in an executive capacity include Modem Media, Telleo and NextCard. He began his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company and DRI/McGraw-Hill.
Dan holds an MBA from Harvard University and a BA in Mathematics and Economics from Occidental College. Dan serves or has served on the boards of companies including YuMe, E-LOAN (Banco Popular), ITI and eGroups (Yahoo!), and not-for-profit organizations including Shop.org, ad:Tech, The Randall Museum and The San Francisco Friends School.
Scott Olrich President, Marketing and Platform
Scott Olrich joined Responsys in 2004 to partner with Dan Springer in the transformation of Responsys. As President, Marketing and Platform, Olrich is responsible for driving Responsys’ vision and go-to-market, platform, and customer success strategies and teams. Olrich has served in a variety of management roles including Chief Marketing and Sales Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. He has been instrumental in driving Responsys’ growth to becoming a leading publicly traded marketing cloud software and services company. Olrich has been widely recognized for pioneering innovation in marketing. He led the launch of Responsys’ groundbreaking Interact platform which allows marketing organizations to deliver highly personalized marketing interactions at scale across the digital channels of email, mobile, social, display, and the web. He coined the term “New School Marketing” and is regarded as the architect of the now proven approach called "Cross-Channel Lifecycle Marketing," to effectively map and market to consumers across an increasing digital customer lifecycle. Named one of The CMO Institute's Top 10 U.S. CMOs, Scott is frequently quoted in leading industry publications, and speaks regularly at industry conferences, such as Forrester’s Marketing Forum, NCDM, Adobe Omniture Summit, MarketingSherpa, AMA, and DMA events. Prior to joining Responsys, Olrich was a founding executive and Senior Vice President at Topica, an email marketing application service provider, where he helped the company become one of the nation’s largest email marketing companies serving the SMB market. Prior to that, Olrich was a consultant at Accenture in the Business Process Reengineering Group with a special focus on demand generation. Olrich holds a BS in Business and Finance from San Diego State University.
Andrew Priest Chief of Responsys International
Andy Priest manages the Responsys business internationally. His 25-plus years in the software industry includes 15+ years of executive experience leading sales, worldwide professional services, and customer care organizations. At Responsys, as Chief Customer Officer, he built the model and led the organization for servicing clients to increase their marketing success. During this time, Andy drove and owned the revenue growth from our installed base. Before joining Responsys, Andy was EVP/Customer Operations at Open Harbor, where he led worldwide service delivery and customer care. He also served as SVP/Professional Services at Epiphany, a provider of enterprise-level CRM solutions, and as SVP/Worldwide Field Operations at Brightware, where his management resulted in well over 100% year over year growth in revenue and a growth in the customer base of over 90%. Andy also held executive and senior management positions at Informix, Red Brick Systems, Information Builders, and HP. Andy earned a B.S. in Computer Science from SUNY-Albany. Don Smith Chief Information Officer
As Responsys CIO, Don Smith brings more than 20 years of deep technology and operational expertise in product development, quality assurance, customer support, implementation services, and sales engineering. Before joining Responsys, Don served on advisory boards and/or provided technical and business consulting services for numerous on-demand businesses, recognizing that they, and their customers, have unique operational needs. Don also was the SVP of Customer Advocacy at Extensity, where he led Extensity's on-demand solution, IT, professional services and customer support. Don also co-founded Clarify Inc. and drove the development lifecycle of Clarify's flagship products. He also served as Clarify's Vice President of Worldwide Technical Field Operations. Don received his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln.
Chris Paul Chief Financial Officer
Chris Paul brings 20 years' experience in finance and operations to Responsys, where he oversees global financial initiatives and drives fiscal discipline in its rapid growth in the on-demand marketing industry. Before joining Responsys, Chris served as VP/Finance and Administration and and CFO at Determine Software, where he was instrumental in implementing rigorous financial controls, cost efficiencies, and corporate governance compliance. Previously, Chris was CFO at both established and start-up technology companies, including Teros, Linuxcare, Cloudscape and ICVerify, for which he negotiated mergers and acquisitions, equity financing and debt restructuring. He began his career at Ernst & Young. A chartered accountant, Paul holds a Master's degree in Accounting and Taxation and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Cape Town.
Antonio Casacuberta Chief Product Officer
Antonio Casacuberta brings over 20 years of management and executive experience to Responsys. As Chief Product Officer, Antonio drives Responsys' technical vision and leads the next wave of innovation and expansion. He also assumes day-to-day responsibility and management of Responsys' world-class development team. Antonio most recently served as Chief Technology Officer of Infospace, where he led product software development, including the release of award winning search properties such as Dogpile, metacrawler, and Switchboard.com, as well as industry-leading Mobile Search products. Antonio also spent a decade in management positions at Oracle where he planned, staffed and led innovative technology development and implementation projects. Antonio holds a bachelor's degree in computer science from Boston University.
Ed Henrich Chief Customer Officer
Ed leads our Strategic, Creative, Campaign and Professional Services teams to help our customers maximize their marketing efforts. Since Ed joined Responsys in 2007, our Services revenue has tripled. Ed is a pioneer in the online marketing industry. In 1997, he was a member of the founding team at Post Communications (now Yesmail) where he first served as Vice President of Client Services and later became the President of Yesmail. During his tenure as President, the company achieved profitability. Prior to Yesmail, Ed was a venture capitalist with Internet Capital Group and a consultant at McKinsey and Company. He is on the board of directors at Vertical Response. A former Fulbright Scholar to Australia, Ed holds a Ph.D. and M.S. from UCLA, and a B.S. from Drexel University.
Jason Zintak Chief Sales Officer
As Chief Sales Officer, Jason Zintak leads Responsys’ global selling organization and is charged with expanding the company’s position as a leader in cross-channel marketing software and services. Prior to joining Responsys, Zintak was Executive Vice President of Global Sales at GT Nexus, a SaaS leader and an industry-wide collaboration platform that businesses rely on to automate trade and logistics operations across their global partner networks. Before that, he led the global sales and marketing organization for JDA Software where he substantially increased revenue across all regions. Zintak has also held executive sales management positions at SAP, Capgemini and Blue Martini Software. Zintak holds a B.A. in Advertising and Psychology from Syracuse University.
Steve Krause SVP / Product Management
Steve Krause leads the definition and execution of Responsys’s product strategy. He has been in the interactive-marketing field since its beginning in the mid-1990s. Since then, he led one of the Internet’s first consumer-research projects (iVALS at SRI International), co-founded two companies (Personify, ExactChoice), and created and led a business within a public company (CNET Intelligent Cross-Sell). His products have won numerous awards, and he has appeared in media ranging from The Wall Street Journal to TIME to a variety of industry publications.
Michael Della Penna SVP / Emerging Channels
Michael Della Penna is Senior Vice President of Emerging Channels at Responsys. His responsibilities include spearheading the overall strategic direction, partnerships, and solution offering across key digital channels (social, display and mobile) for the company. Michael is a seasoned marketing professional with a long, proven track record of launching successful marketing, branding, and sales strategies for leading public and private companies. Most recently, Michael founded SuiteDialog, a full-service email and social CRM agency that helps brands ignite conversations and cultivate relationships with customers across the social web. Prior to SuiteDialog, Michael founded Conversa Marketing, a social CRM company that was acquired by StrongMail Systems in 2010. Before branching out on his own, Michael served as chief marketing officer for Epsilon, a leading provider of multichannel, data-driven marketing services. Michael’s other key marketing leadership roles include CMO at Bigfoot Interactive, VP of strategic development at CNET Networks, Inc., and VP of marketing at ZDNet. Michael served as the Co-Executive Chairman of the DMA’s Email Marketing Council/Council for Responsible Email and Email Experience Council and has been recognized as one of B-to-B Magazines “100 Most Influential People in Business-to-Business and Interactive Marketing” five times for his ongoing contributions to establishing digital marketing best practices. Michael received a B.B.A. and an M.B.A. from Hofstra University.
Julian Ong SVP / General Counsel + Secretary
As Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of Responsys, Julian Ong oversees all legal matters of the company. Ong most recently was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary at SuccessFactors where he built out the company’s legal function and helped take the company public. Before that, he served as Deputy General Counsel at salesforce.com and helped take the company public. Previously, Ong was an associate in the Palo Alto office of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, following a stint as a deputy district attorney for Santa Clara County and a federal district court clerkship in the District of Hawaii. Ong holds bachelors and masters degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford University and received his law degree from Berkeley Law.
Joan Burke SVP / Global Human Resources
As Senior Vice President of Global Human Resources, Joan Burke is responsible for leading Responsys’ Human Resources operations and practices. Joan has over 25 years of experience in the full range of HR management in progressively managed companies, designing and implementing innovative, results-oriented human resources programs and best practices. She began her HR career at John Hancock where she took on a variety of senior roles in building the human capital of this leading financial services firm. She has held the top HR position at leading technology companies ZANTAZ, ShoreTel, and ZipRealty. Joan has a Bachelor of Arts from Albertus Magnus College.
